Our Programs

The Worship Team works cooperatively with the pastor/elders and the music director. The primary function of the team is to prepare the hymns/songs for the Divine Worship Service and to lead the congregation in true worship according to the Holy Spirit’s guidance.

The Music Director (who is also the choir director) ensures that there is a music ministry in place for regular Divine Worship Services and various events throughout the year, such as Easter and Christmas presentations.

The Women's Ministry addresses the specific needs of women in the church. The women meet regularly for prayer, fellowship, and to study the Word. They also meet occasionally to engage in other relationship building activities. They have participated with other churches in organizing yearly retreats with guest speakers and invited attendees. The goal is to energize and rejuvenate their commitment to God's work while they fellowship one with the other.

The Men’s Ministry (the Watchmen) addresses the specific needs of men and boys in the church. The men meet for prayer, study of the Word, fellowship, and to encourage and support each other. Their main goal is to reach other men for Christ and to disciple them, to mentor the younger men and boys, and to network with other Men’s Ministries.

The Youth Ministry, New Life Youth On A Mission (NLYOM), was created for the church leadership to reach out to the youth of the church and surrounding communities, and to seek an understanding of their issues and challenges. In the past, the youth have had discussions on various topics and, under the guidance of the youth president/counselor, used Biblical teachings to find practical solutions and direction. The youth have also been involved in programs to help the needy and the homeless (by traversing the community to give out food and clothing to those in need, thus sharing in a tangible way what God has provided for them, and show and share the love of Jesus Christ).

The Sunday School Superintendent works towards ensuring that there are vibrant and effective Sunday School classes for all ages.

The Children's Ministry is geared to the young minds of all ages 12 years and under. It includes The Nursery (Kingdom Kids), Sunday School, Children’s Church, and Vacation Bible School (VBS). There is a separate children's service which runs concurrent with the adult worship service. The focus is reaching out to young people at an early age to instill God's principles and spiritual lessons. There is an annual Vacation Bible School, where the children from the church, the community, and other invited guests are encouraged to attend interactive God centered sessions. The children have fun as they engage in activities focused on living a Christ-centred life.

The One Accord Ministry is a physical human prayer chain and interaction throughout the local community to fulfill our purpose of winning souls for Christ. It is a God-given response to the increase of gun violence in the nearby community. One Accord, still in its infancy, was implemented when its founder and director Gail Miller saw the need and responded to God’s call as in Acts 4:24, “And when they heard that, they lifted up their voice to God with ONE ACCORD and said, Lord, thou art God…….”.  Other nearby churches in the community have been encouraged to be part of One Accord and at least ten have been actively involved.
